 Catherine Hughes

My name is Catherine Hughes and I live in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. I hold an MA in Language Testing (Distinction) from Lancaster University and my dissertation, completed in 2020, was highly commended for the IELTS Masters Caroline Clapham award. I work for the British Council as Examiner Network Manager for Global Assessments, managing examiners who mark the speaking and writing components of the British Council Aptis test, as well as new and emerging test products. I’ve been working in the field of language testing for eight years, having previously worked as an EFL teacher and Director of Studies.
